Planned enhancements to DEX
Import of the Free KiCad parts
Coming very soon, in July, you will be able to import KiCad free parts library.
DEX will optionally, convert the symbols to DEX symbol and use the symbols terminal magnet.
Where possible, DEX will optionally convert the imported footprint that goes with the symbol to a parametric footprint, thereby giving you the ability to parametrically change the footprints characteristics as well as automatically generate the 3D model.
KiCad libraries are licensed in such a way to ensure free use of library data for commercial, closed, and non-commercial projects without restriction.
This will give you an additional 20,000+ parts that you can use in your design.
